Jan 7 What a week

Here it is Monday and my to do list has been growing and growing.

School starts tomorrow and I went to print my syllabus’s and well lets just say it is going to be a long semester :0(

I am still struggling with water.  You would think tha tthat would ne an easy thing to do…I thougth it would be but it is not.  I need to come up with a better way.  I did put a water bottle in my book bag.  There is a water fountain near both my classes so I figure if I care the bottle I have to fill it up and drink it right.  That is my story and I am sticking to it.  Baby steps.

Last year I started sending random letters to friends and family memebers so that they recieved mail that wasnt a bill.  I did this all year last year and was suprised at how touched people were that they recieved a hand written note.  So I started it again this year.  My first letter went out this morning.

All in all I am doing well.  My photo a day is working well.  It has been fun and I have a few partners in crime that help me out.  You can check out the pictures a day at the top of the screen or you can check out my littel buddys blog at mrpsadventures.wordpress.com.

The Scale

I haven’t been on one going two weeks due to a few things….one I don’t have one at home and two my doc said if the inches are coming off don’t worry so much about the scale.  So I have been putting it off.  Maybe next week I will get on the scale at the gym.  However a friend of mine posted this picture and I wanted to share it with you all.

If I had a scale I would be writing this on it today!

One more inch

So I dropped another inch off my body this week!!!! Happy claps go here. Did some journal searching and I see I’m doing good on getting out and moving but not so good on cutting down on the carbs. So that is what I’m going to work on this week. Scale went up I think half pound. I’ll weigh in tomorrow or Tuesday. I’ll blog more soon school is really busy with two papers due this week.

Finally 1 Pound

As the title of my blog states I finally lost a pound after 19 days.  I know the doctor said if I am feeling better and things are moving around then it is good…but we (women that is) know that the scale is our nemesis.  I am thankful that the pound is gone and is never allowed to return :0)

It has been a crappy week….truck issues, that caused money issues, that caused not being able to go the gym issues…but I am not letting that stop me.  Lucky for me the gym is already paid for and I can go up there and walk off my frustrations.  Felt good this morning to turn up the tunes and just walk.  So I will call this a win day and make it continue there my work day this afternoon.

I am making this dream a reality….

Just a quick update….

I live in Ohio and it is just now starting to get cold and up until today I was not able to button my jacket.  I usually just threw it on because the wind here has been cold but today without thinking I buttoned my coat and WAAAALAAAA I could button it!  I started doing the happy dance and realized I was in the middle of the library.  YEAH ME.  May not be a big deal for you bit let me just say it made my day!

New Toy

So I decided I was going to start using a pedometer.  It arrived today

It is set and ready to use.  I am going to challenge myself every day to walk farther.  I think this will keep me moving.  That and I will see just how far it is from my car to my first class.

Look out shoes I am going to be putting you to the test!

The game plan….

The New Year is just around the corner and I am getting my things together to make the transition for change to take place.  I did really good last year for 2 months and then I fell off the wagon.  Not gonna happen this year.  I am determined to make this happen.

So with this being said…I am going to journal my food intake and stay under 1200 calories.  Adding more veggies to my diet.  That is tough for me.  I hate veggies.  Gonna start eating breakfast….PROTEIN!  I also wanna incorporate eating more than 2 times a day.  That is a must.

I start back to school on the 9th and they have a workout facility there so I am going to be checking that out.  I want to walk the treadmill a few times a week.  If the school doesn’t work I am going to use the gym down the street.  I am going to do this.

I will be posting my progress and a pic or two here and there.  I am looking forward to this journey.  THanks for stopping in.
