From scratch hamburger helper in the pressure cooker

Like some of you I am addicted to Pinterest. Now that I have a pressure cooker I have been searching Pinterest for different quick meals. I came across a homemade hamburger helper recipe. Thought I would give it a shot!

Ingredients are:

1 Pound of ground beef

2 cups of broth

16 oz of cheddar cheese

4oz of American cheese

1 tbs of onion powder

1 tbs of garlic powder

16 oz of elbow macaroni

8 oz of milk

First up is to sautée the ground beef along with the garlic and onion in the pressure cooker until the hamburger isn’t pink anymore. Pour in the broth, the elbow macaroni and milk. Hit the rice/risotto button and let it come up to pressure…recipe says 4 minutes my pot says 6 left it at 6 and the results are….pasta is

Perfect! Add the cheese and serve.  I made some green beens to go with it!

And dinner is served! Could I have made this in the stove? Yes but I must say I only have one pot to wash! I also didn’t have to babysit the meal!

We will make this again!
